Service Description
Defense & Strategy: Playing the Whole Game Once you understand the mechanics of American Mah Jongg, the next step is learning how to think through the game as it unfolds. In this class, we move beyond simply choosing a hand and begin focusing on the strategy that separates good players from confident ones. We’ll talk about how to read the table, track what other players are building, and recognize when it’s time to pivot your hand or begin playing defense. Students will learn how discards communicate information, how exposures change the pace of the game, and how to protect themselves late in the game when Mah Jongg may be near. This class is ideal for players who are comfortable with the Charleston and general gameplay but want to improve their decision-making during the pick-and-discard portion of the game. Topics include: • Reading discards and exposures • When to shift your hand or abandon a line • Understanding suit pressure • Defensive play in the mid and late game • Safe discarding and protecting the table The goal is simple: help you see more of the board, think ahead, and play the whole game with confidence.

Ozark Mah Jongg – Booking Policy We’re so glad you’re ready to learn and play with us! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, please review the following booking policies that apply to all Ozark Mah Jongg classes: 📅 Booking & Scheduling All classes must be booked in advance. Classes take place in our Game Studio at 130 East Poplar Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703. 💳 Payment Payment is due in full at the time of booking to reserve your spot. We accept all major credit cards through our secure checkout process. 🔁 Rescheduling & Cancellations Life happens! We allow one complimentary reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable, but we’ll do our best to work with you on rescheduling, subject to availability.
