ABOUT US
At Ozark Mah Jongg, we believe everyone belongs at the table. We’re here to teach, to play, and to make space for connection, laughter, and a little friendly competition. Whether you’re here for the strategy, the camaraderie, or just the soul-soothing sound of tiles clicking into place—we’d love to have you.
So pull up a chair, shuffle the tiles, and let’s play.

Our Story
"Can you teach me how to play?" Sure! Come on over, grab a seat, and we’ll show you the ropes. That’s how it all began. We just wanted more people to play with—so we pulled out Mama’s 1950s bakelite set, a rickety old card table, and our well-worn Mah Jongg Made Easy and started teaching our neighbors.
We grew up in a house where games weren’t just for fun—they were about connection, laughter, and learning how to be with people. In 2018, as our Mama battled cancer, we spent countless hours around the game table, learning Mah Jongg together—a memory we’ll cherish forever. When she passed in 2020, we stepped away from the tiles for a while, but in 2024, a refresher lesson brought us back—and with it, a passion to share this game with others.
Mah Jongg doesn’t need reinvention—it needs to be played, shared, and passed down. We honor the Chinese artisans who crafted this beautiful game and the Jewish women who have lovingly preserved it for generations. Their dedication to the game’s rules, etiquette, and community spirit is something we take seriously—but we promise, we’re anything but serious at the table.
